Semiya Kesari – சேமியா கேசரி


  • Vermicelli – 250g
  • Cardamom powder – 1/4 tsp
  • Cardamom – 6
  • Kesari powder – 1 tsp
  • Cashew nuts – Required
  • Raisins – Required
  • Sugar – Required
  • Ghee – Required

How to Prepare

Total Preparation Time: 20-30 minutes

  1. Take a pan, heats up 2 tsp ghee, add cashew nuts till become golden
  2. After that add raisins and fry for 2 minutes till it swells up
  3. Then add semiya and stir them well in low flame for 5 minutes
  4. Then add 400ml water in semiya and stir till continuously to smooth non sticky semiya
  5. Stir continuously till the water starts boil and water drains out and make sure there is no lumps formed
  6. Once water is completely absorbed, the semiya become smooth and gooye it means the semiya is cooked well
  7. After that add sugar and stir continuously and make the sugar dissolve
  8. Stir continuously till semiya absorb the sugar water completely
  9. After that add cardamom powder, kesari powder and mix it well
  10. Add 4 tsp ghee and stir it well then close the lid for 3 minute in low flame
  11. After that move the kesari into a bowl
  12. Now the sweet Semiya kesari is ready for serve
