Chilli Chappathi – மிளகாய் சப்பாத்தி


  • Chappathi – 4
  • Cumin Seeds – 1 tbsp
  • Green Chillies – 2
  • Red Onions – 3
  • Ginger Garlic Paste – 2 tbsp
  • Capsicum – 1
  • Carrot or 1 – 1
  • Tomatoes – 2
  • Red Chilli powder – 1 tbsp
  • Coriander seed powder – 1 tbsp
  • Garam masala / Kari Masala – 1/4 tbsp
  • Turmeric Powder – 1/4 tbsp
  • Soya Sauce – 1 tbsp
  • Chilli sauce – 1 tbsp
  • Green chillies – 2 (Aditional Flavour)
  • Eggs –
    2 (Aditional Flavour)
  • Oil – Required
  • Salt –

How to Prepare

Total Preparation time: 15 – 20 Minutes

  1. Cut the chappathi into small pieces, slit the green chillies, chop capsicum, vegetables, chop the tomatoes and cut the onions length wisely
  2. Heat the pan and pour oil
  3. After oil heated up, add Cumin seeds, green chillies followed by onions
  4. Fry for 2-3 minutes until the raw smell goes off then add ginger garlic paste
  5. Add Capsicum and vegetable that you have.
  6. Fry for 3 minutes then add chopped tomatoes and add some salt
  7. Mix it well for 2 minutes
  8. Then Add turmeric powder followed by red chilli powder, coriander seed powder and garam/kari masala
  9. Mix well then add soya sauce and chilli sauce
  10. Mix well for few minutes until it become smooth gravy
  11. Add some water cook for 2 minutes
  12. Add cut chappathi and fry for 3 minutes until it is mixed properly
  13. Now the chilli chappathi is ready for SERVE
  14. (Additional Flavor) After making chilli chappathi, heat oil in separate pan add 2 green chillies followed by the egg and some salt
  15. (Additional Flavor) Now add eggs and mix it well
  16. (Additional Flavor) Ready for serve

Cook with medium oil and perfect roast may give you health benefits. It is good for healthy skin. And it also used for pain relief and weight loss

History Origin

The origin of Chilli chappathi is the sister recipe of chilli parotta. It was from northern part of India.
