Radish Chappathi – முள்ளங்கி சப்பாத்தி


  • Wheat flour – 250g
  • White radish – 2
  • Radish leaves – 4 to 5
  • Curd – 2 tbsp
  • Coriander seed powder – 1/2 tsp
  • Red chilli powder – 1/2 tsp
  • Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp
  • Chilli powder – 3 tsp
  • Coriander leaves – Few
  • Salt – Required
  • Oil – Required

How to Prepare

Total Preparation time: 15-20 minutes

  1. Grate white radish finely, chop radish leaves, chop coriander leaves seperately and keep aside
  2. Then take a pan, add Wheat flour, 1 tbsp oil, required salt and required amount of water to make chappathi dough
  3. Mix it well by your hand, make dough and marinate for few minutes
  4. Take a bowl, add graded radish, chopped radish leaves, curd, chopped coriander leaves, turmeric powder, coriander seed powder, red chilli powder and mix it well and keep this stuffing aside
  5. Take the chappathi dough, split them into palm hold sized small balls
  6. Take the chappathi board, roll this small balls into round shapes like chappathi then keep the small amount of radish staffing inside, close it and make like a ball
  7. Again roll this stuffed chappathi ball into round shape carefully without the stuffing comes out
  8. Keep the dosa or chappathi tawa in medium flame, apply little amount of oil and spread it well
  9. After oil gets heat up, lay around the round shaped stuffed chappathi dough and cook it for 3-4 minutes
  10. After that turn to other side and cook for 2 minutes.
  11. Now the Healthy Radish Chappathi is ready to serve.
